Dr Michael Burke
Michael grew up in Beverly Hills. His Dad was Pharmacist and Mum a school teacher. They helped create an environment where dedication to study and the pursuit of excellence was fostered.
He enjoys the ongoing challenge of Dentistry through continued professional development and the ever evolving practice of Dentistry. This has found him on the Continuing Education in Dentistry Committee at the University of Sydney. He has pursued his interests in Oral Surgery, Implantology and Orhtodontics. He has Post-graduate qualification in Implants -Diploma of Implantology from CSU.
In the years at Engadine Junette and I have enjoyed mentoring young Dental Graduates and training Dental Assistants. We continue to enjoy the benefits of a dynamic group practice in the Shire.
Dr Junette Burke
Junette was born in Ceylon and arrived in Australia as a 9 year old. A Sydney University Graduate of 1987, with my first job at Westmead Hospital. I discovered I loved working with children and caring for people- specially the worried ones! Exploring conservative and practical options for my patients whilst motivating all to enjoy healthy teeth for life are passions.
Married to Michael in 1988, I am grateful for the privilege of being a working Mum. Both commitments have shaped a deep value of family, people and our precious relationships. I am in awe at the leap of faith people have to take to visit a Dentist. Sincere and grateful thanks to my patients, Michael, our fabulous team and my precious children!
Here at Engadine, and now at Sutherland, we have been gifted with a beautiful practice- our gratitude to the meticulous Dr Ron Stannard for all he began and passed onto us. In addition, I acknowledge my Mother’s inspiration and example in fostering a love of learning with dedication and hard work, always striving for that which is better.
Dr Kim Trinh
Kim Sydney University Graduate of 1999. She joined the Burke Dental team in 2001 and hasn’t looked back!
Kim was born in South Vietnam and arrived in Australia when she was two. She has a younger brother who she still contacts regularly and keeps him in line. She is married with two beautiful girls and a gorgeous boy!
She enjoys spending time with her family and exploring all the wonderful destinations the world has to offer. She enjoys skiing, horse riding and photography. She loves dining out and sharing memorable experiences with friends.
Valinca Phan ORAL HEALTH THERAPIST
Val is a welcome member to our practice joining us providing more comprehensive care as a specialist in Hygiene. She will play a crucial role in helping us care for your oral health bringing her diverse experience in caring for adults and children in Private, Public and Specialist Paediatric Dental Practice. Valinca achieved her Bachelor of Oral Health Science from the University of La Trobe in 2016. She is a Registered Dental Practitioner with the Dental Board (AHPRA). OHTs dental providers who work in close collaboration with Dentists to provide personalised and optimal dental care. Most significantly we value Val’s gentle and caring approach to each person. She really makes you feel more at ease and supports you through your appointment with deep consideration. We enjoy working along side her to provide routine care for the long term in an age when we expect our teeth to last our life time -which we expect to extend well into our 90s and beyond!
